Make sure sound is on to hear the synthesizer!
Note: it appears right now the synthesizer only plays in Chrome and Chromium browsers.
During my senior year of undergraduate at Virginia Tech, I was given the opportunity to make a synthesizer for an interactive learning module that can be accessed online. The team that I worked on (consisting of Joseph Stefano, DJ Malinowski, and me) had to use javascript to make this synthesizer work in a browser, and our fearless leader Joseph recommended that we use tone.js to make this happen (although I had originally suggested libpd; we could not figure out how to get this into javascript!)
So, here is the synth in its working state, and I plan on posting the link to the module, or even the whole module here, soon!
The module uses FM synthesis combined with distortion, chorus, and echo delay to create a spacey and ambient-sounding synthesizer. Stay tuned for a link to the whole learning module!
